Assam University Admission 2026-27: Assam University is a Central University located in Silchar, Assam, and is recognized by the UGC and accredited by NAAC. Admission to UG and IG programs such as BPA, B.Pharma, BVA, Integrated BSc-MSc, and, Integrated BSW-MSW, Integrated B.Sc-B.Ed, Integrated BA LLB, Integrated BSc-MSc in CS for the academic year 2026-26 will be conducted through two modes: 50% of the seats will be filled through the Common University Entrance Test (CUET-UG) conducted by NTA, while the remaining 50% will be filled through the Departmental Entrance Test conducted by Assam University. To be eligible for Assam University UG admission 2026, candidates must have passed the 10+2 (Class 12) examination with at least 50% marks in the relevant subject (with a 5% relaxation for reserved categories).

For PG programs such as MA, MSc, MCom, MLIS, LLM, MVA, M.Pharma, MCA, MPA, MTech, M.Ed, MEPM, MHTM, and various PG Diploma Courses, Assam University offers admission through the CUET-PG, conducted by NTA. Candidates will be selected based on a valid CUET-PG 2026 score in the relevant subject. If a sufficient number of applications are not received with a valid CUET-PG score, then candidates without a CUET-PG score may also be considered. To be eligible for PG admissions in 2026, applicants must hold a relevant Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for reserved categories). 50% of the total seats in PG programs are reserved for graduates from colleges affiliated with Assam University.

Note: CUET is a national-level entrance test administered by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admissions to central universities across India, including Assam University. All candidates must register and appear for CUET-UG or CUET-PG as applicable for the respective course.

• Primary Mode: Based on valid CUET-PG 2026 score in relevant subjects.
• If a sufficient number of CUET-PG applications are not received, non-CUET applicants may also be considered.
• 50% of total seats are reserved for candidates who graduated from colleges affiliated with Assam University.

Eligibility for Admission to PG Courses at Assam University:

• A Bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline.
• Minimum Marks: 55% for General category, and 50% for SC/ST/OBC/PwD categories
• Candidates appearing in the final semester/year (2026) may apply but must submit final results within 3 days of result declaration.
